Editing - Photo manipulation & Portrait Retouching
Every image in this collection was hand-edited in Photoshop - no AI, no shortcuts. Just hundreds of individual layers, careful masking, and a lot of patience.
This was long before AI tools existed to do the heavy lifting, so every composite, blend, and manipulation was built manually from scratch. The surreal portrait of two faces merging through a cascade of leaves, for example, took hours of layering, masking, and colour matching to make the transition feel seamless and believable. The Halloween piece - swapping my head for a pumpkin I carved myself - meant shooting, editing, and compositing everything by hand to sell the illusion.
Beyond the concept work, this section also covers extreme portrait retouching: skin work, colour grading, and lighting adjustments pushed to create bold, editorial-style looks.
This body of work represents the foundation of my editing skills - real, manual Photoshop craftsmanship built layer by layer, well before AI made compositing easier.
Portraits - Modelling & Retouching
A collection of portrait work shot both in and out of the studio, spanning natural light location shoots to controlled studio setups.
Beyond capturing the shot, each image was retouched and colour graded to bring out mood, tone, and character - from moody black and white edits to warm, natural colour correction that keeps skin tones true to life. The focus throughout is on composition, lighting, and posing direction, working with models to create images that feel authentic rather than overly polished.
This section reflects a more grounded, editorial style of photography - less about heavy manipulation, more about getting the fundamentals of lighting, composition and retouching right.
Landscape
Landscape photography isn't my main focus, but I enjoy capturing it when the moment calls for it — city skylines from above, quiet sunsets over water, and silhouettes against fading light. A smaller collection, but each shot is about timing, light, and finding a bit of stillness.
